Over 18?
New climbers and guests.
If you are not registered with Avid you will need to complete an acknowledgement of risk form.
These are different for U18’s to over 18’s so please check on the registration link.
Anyone who is not registered will be required to watch our new Induction video before climbing
Under 18?
New climbers Under the age of 18 must be registered by an adult.
We welcome ALL children and young people U18 to climb at Avid.
Climbers under the age of 18 must be supervised while in the centre.
All adults bringing U18’s in must be confident they can safely supervise the child.
Adults supervising U18’s will need to watch our induction video and fill in an acknowledgement of risk form to ensure they are clear about all the safety requirements even if they do not intend to climb.
Adults must be on the mat with u18 at all time and must not climb whilst supervising.
AGED 16-17?
All 16 & 17 year olds need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on their first visit.
you still need to have a form filled out by an adult as per Under 18’s.
after your first session you can have your parent fill out an additional form in order to climb unsupervised.
UNDER 18 INFO
2 u18’s per 1 ADULT SUPERVISING ON MATTED AREA.
Everyone who is on the mat needs to sign THE acknowledgement OF RISK FORM.
Adult must ensure child followS THE centreS SAFETY rules.
if you're 16/17 yrs and would like to be able to climb unsupervised, you must bring your parent or guardian in on your first visit.
Safety is our first priority, please abide by these.
